PRODUCTIVITY SOFTWARE EVALUATION & RUBRIC ANALYSIS
Accessing documentation on this software is a click away especially if using the Google Chrome search engine. I was able to access very clear, user friendly documentation that left no unanswered questions as exampled in the 'Explore Google Slides Page' on this blog.
Technical Support
There is also access to local tech help (METVT IT Department) available for a few hours per day (8:30am-4:30pm) no-charge in addition to Online support as noted below.
Google uses a mixture of different platforms to provide support to developers/users.
If you have a Google Workspace or Cloud Identity account, you can email a Google Workspace developer support specialist.
They use the popular programming Q&A website Stack Overflow to field technical questions. Google doesn't own or manage this site, but you can sign in with your Google account.
Multiple Users
Due to collaborative features as exampled on the Advantages Slide 2 page. This software allows for multiple users once that user has a certified google email address and permissions via an invitation link extended by the creator of the Google Slides.
Help Features
As with most software there is a 'Help' menu option which offers assistance. Though contextual it provides help whilst using the software.
However, online support is offered and users are encouraged to contact the developer if users still are experiencing problems. Users can contact them via their forum, feedback, or support services.
It should be noted that Google Accounts through ones work or school may not be able to access phone, chat, or email support, but the user can ask a question in the forum or contact their administrator.
Tutorials
Extensive online tutorials are provided for this software. Visit the 'Slide into My Google Slides Blog' post to view one of the many YouTube tutorials.
Administrative Features
Most of the desired features are included. The slides in Google Slides are all the sheets that the user can edit and input content on them. Modification is possible with the options of adding text, images, transitions, change the background color, add links to other pages. Google Slides has endless editing possibilities at the users disposal.
Multiple Platforms
Maybe be used on other platform; features similar but not identical.
Conversion/Import/Export Features
Conversion
Google Slides will automatically convert the slideshow into a PPT file and let you download it with your browser. The PPT file should retain all original formatting from the Google Slides file.
Import
Export
Users can export and download data from Google Drive, which includes items from Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drawings, Sites, Drive, Forms, and Jamboard. Users can create an archive to keep records or use the data in another service. Users can also download files that haven't been deleted.
Important: If the users actions seem risky, in order to protect their account, their actions may be delayed or become unavailable.
